We believe his paw was run over by a car. Bo is a 2-year-old Pointer/Heeler mix. This sweet boy was found with another dog in horrible heat, starving and thin. He was scared of having a cone on and had to have his paw bandaged and changed.
You would think after such a scary experience he wouldn't let anyone near him, but every day he sweetly held his paw up to be cleaned and wrapped. His balance was wobbly after the amputation and he looked like a baby colt learning to walk. Bo always got right back up and never gave up. Now, he is fully healed and running around like it never happened.
Bo is so loving and responds to praise. It’s clear that he has been abused by a previous owner, because of the anxiety he exhibits. Bo loves to chase birds and try to sneak sips of coffee. He just wants to be loved and show you he is a good boy. He is crate-trained, housetrained, and very obedient. He will sit, come, play fetch and loves having his face stroked. Due to the trauma he has experienced, he will need time to adjust and feel settled in a new home. He would do best in a one owner household with no children. He gets along great with cats and other dogs.
Bo has so much love to give, he will be such a loyal companion to the family that will give him a chance. His foster says she loves him so much it will be hard to let him go, but this sweet boy is ready for his forever home.
